While Clark Hunt is accepting pats on the back for being named the 2024 H. Neil Mallon Awardee, his wife Tavia Hunt has also had some news of her own.
Following the 2024 Heather Washburne’s gangbuster Sweetheart Ball in April and with 2025 Chair Ola Fojtasek already locking down plans for the next one, it was just announced that Tavia will be heading up the 2026 fundraiser for cardiology research and treatment programs at UT Southwestern.
Tavia will be doing triple duty — following in her late mom-in-law Norma Hunt’s stiletto footsteps as the Kansas City Chiefs’ first lady, supporting daughter Gracie Hunt’s carrying on the family legacy of pageantry success and organizing one of North Texas’ most vaunted black-tie dinners.
Since its founding in 1982, The Sweetheart Ball has had no raffle, no auction, no call for cash, no website. It’s simply a cocktail party and a dinner that is an elegant and an especially big fundraiser supporting the healthcare heroes battling heart disease.
