A heavy sigh of relief has been heard at the corner of Blackburn and Oak Lawn emanating from the 2024 Crystal Charity Ball committee offices.
Due to last year’s oops of scheduling with the Hilton Anatole, the decades long tradition of holding the black-tie fundraiser on the first Saturday in December could not be locked down. That meant that the 2023 and 2024 galas would have to take place on the second Saturday. And that’s exactly what happened this past December when the 1,500 guests partied the night away on Saturday, December 9.
But due to a recent development 2024 CCB Chair Cheryl Joyner has just sent word that there’s been a break in the Anatole scheduling with the results being that the ball can be held on Saturday, December 7.
So, let your designer know that they’ll need to have your gown ready earlier than originally planned and reschedule your ski trip.
